How do I stop TBird v46 from asking for my password each time I open it?

I've recently changed web hosts and have set up the new email accounts on TBird v46 - the latest available for 2 old iMacs running 10.6 The setups were done automatically because for some reason I couldn't do a manual setup. On Computer A, TB opens fine without asking for the password each time. On Computer B, TB asks for the password each time and I can't find where I can tell it to remember the password now it is set up. Hope someone can help with this very old version. Thanks

Open Preferences/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords and Remove the passwords. Restart TB and enter the password when prompted, and check the box to save the password. If there's no checkbox, select Preferences/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the pref. signon.rememberSignons to true. If there were no passwords in Saved Passwords, change the preference anyway and restart TB.

If none of this works, delete these files from the profile folder: logins.json, key4.db and cert9.db (may be signons.sqlite or signons.txt, key3 and cert8 on old versions of TB). Select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Show in Finder to open the profile folder, close TB before deleting or renaming files.

how about ticking the remember password option in the dialog asking for the password.

Thanks for the reply Matt, but I can't seem to find where to do this once TBird has been set up. Maybe I have to set up all the email accounts again on the computer with the problem.
