Why can I no longer download videos from you tube on my PC laptop or my Mac desktop?
I have updted to the latest Firefox, cleared my cache, refreshed Firefox but nothing helps. I have used the Download helper without issue until a few days ago. What has happened and what can I do? I have this issue on both my PC laptop (Windows 7) and my iMac desktop using the latest IOS )..it is very wierd.

The FAQ for Video DownloadHelper says "DownloadHelper works on Firefox 4.x to 32.0. It's likely to work on next versions." but other users have reported problems on Firefox 36 and said the developer is working on a fix.
There are lots of temporary workarounds suggested in the Reviews on the Add-ons site, but I haven't tried them myself: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/reviews/
