In Tbird, when I click on incoming email, get circle of death and screen goes white
Almost every incoming email, when I try and open them I get the small circle of death that keeps going and if I click again, the screen goes white

Also, when I go to task manager to close Tbird, It shows "not responding" and takes about 3-5 minutes to close the program

Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode.

OK. When I booted into safe mode w/networking Tbird worked just fine. So, now what do I do??
Most likely your anti-virus software is causing this. Make sure not to let it scan your Thunderbird profile folder, and don't let it scan incoming and outgoing messages. If in doubt contact the System Mechanic support.
