Yes, I know there is a section about this question. But, frankly it is sort of confusing as to which issue the problem is. So, I thought I would ask here. This problem started a few days ago, but now is constantly persistent no matter what web page I'm accessing. I originally thought it was Yahoo, but I can see it is other web sites. Being this problem seemed to come out of thin air, what are my options. I really haven't done anything to my computer, I think, to warrant this problem. Can someone please help. Thank you.

finitarry,

After looking at all the options, I'll try running in safe mode. I did try looking at tools, web browser, error console. And, it actually showed many errors for today, even though I haven't really gotten the script slowdown issue so far today? But, looking at all those errors within the error console, what can be done with all those errors shown? Is there a way to delete them? Or, am I just wasting my time doing so? I will run in the safe mode for today and see if the slowness and script errors appear, and if not, for sometime tomorrow also. I will get back to you finitarry. Thank you.

There are other things that need your attention.

Your above posted plugins list in the system details list shows that you have two Flash plugins. You should remove the older Flash 11.4 plugin.

  1. Shockwave Flash 11.5 r502
  2. Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402

You should also update to the latest Firefox 17.0.1 version to get the latest security updates.

cor-el,

I can't see where I have both Shockwave Flash's. My plugins only show 11.5. I don't see 11.4 If I do in fact have both plugins, how do you recommend I remove one or the other? What procedures would I need to perform to locate both 11.5, 11.4 plugins? Again, when I view the add-ons manager, I only see 11.5. Thank you for your response cor-el.

cor-el,

I've been running in safe mode now for day & 1/2 now. So far no problem. I do notice that there may be two, I think recent additions that might be suspect, if in fact they are. Really don't know, but, capture & print is recent. Do you cor-el know of any issues with that extension? I was told to add that feature to my computer by a contributor on this forum (firefox). The second possible issue--again guessing, is windows live photo gallery. That too may be recent. cor-el, any issues with that, that you are aware of? Thanks
