MicroSoft updated my system in the middle of the night and they remved my firefox personal profile and Firefox Browser.
I can no longer access my Firefox webpage. I have tried to restore my Personal Profile, following Mozilla online instructions. I have tried to open Firefox Personal Profile Folder Dialog Box, unable to locate it on my computer. The search always take me to Firefox Support Page. I have to use Google Internet Explore to access the web.
I have downloaded a new Firefox 3 times, when I try to it run I get the same message: "personal profile missing or unavailable".
Could someone please help me create another Firefox Personal Profile.
Thank you for you time and assistance. JAMES COFFMAN

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with Firefox.
Please try the following steps to create a new Firefox profile:
- Download the Firefox Profile Manager
- Unzip the
profilemanager.win32.zip
file - Run the executable file within this folder
- Click the New button on the top toolbar of the profile manager
- Name your profile
- Check Make this profile the default
- Press Ok
This will create a new Firefox profile for you. Once you are able to get these steps completed and can confirm that Firefox is now functioning properly, please let us know and we can explore some options for recovering your old data.
Warning: Do not delete any profiles in the profile manager, as it may remove your previous data.
If you haven't already shut down and restarted Windows, please try that. Sometimes after installing updates, Windows starts up with mixed or partial permissions that break Firefox in very random ways.
Also, to explore around in your User folder where Firefox stores your profile, you'll need to make sure you can view hidden files and folders. This support article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
