I'm on Thunderbird 115.11.1 on Windows 11. I got an error that there wasn't space to download emails today. My Thunderbird profile shows this:

            121 File(s)    100,867,461 bytes
             24 Dir(s)  455,503,380,480 bytes free

In the startupCache folder File Explorer says that there are 2500 directories, 660 files, and 4.94 TB of content. The last few lines of a dir command show this. Note the weird dates on the directories and garbage names.

What is the best way to clean this up?

If I have an unloaded tab on right of the current tab and I close the current one, instead of going to the right tab, which is the unloaded one, it jumps to another tab which I'm not sure has what relation to it, it certainly is not the tab that opened it.

I removed every modified entry of "Browser.tab" in About:Config, installed "Select After Closing Tab", no result.

As title- Cannot download for example webm format, but jpg is okay. cannot install any addon, theme or anything. DRM didnt install as well. i was trying reinstall, refreshing browser, rebooting.

If you close a tab that is next to one or more unloaded tabs, firefox jumps those and opens the next one that is loaded. Is there a way to disable this so upon closing it would open the right tab, whether loaded or not. I tried "Select After Closing" add-on, didn't fix it. Disabled Auto Unloading via about:config, same result.

I am getting "Secure Connection Failed", Ive seen literally hundereds of same error also exist here. Like most of default solution (which is below) did not work for me. My laptops time is correct, And I highly doubt reddit and most of internet has issue with its security certificates. And other browser works just fine. So What is my solution other than immigrating to new browser?

When I try to switch profiles, I get the following error: An unexpected error has prevented your changes from being saved. I have been messing around with this on and off for a couple of months. I uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed with no luck. This error is not allowing me to switch to a profile that I have had for over 20 years and I have lost all my Local Folders, quite disturbing. I found a similar thread here, but no solution. Thanks, Paul

The new inbox format is similar to Apple inbox. I used Thunderbird because, in my opinion, the inbox layout was much better than Apple mail inbox which is one of the primary reason I use Thunder bird. Is there a way to go back to the previous inbox version?

Hi, I've recently downloaded firefox and trying to add extensions that were similar to the ones I used on chrome. My problem is that all the extensions (Hoverzoom, Short Keys) in the extensions tab in the toolbar and appear to not be working (both in private and normal browsing). However the extensions (Ublock, SponsorBlock) that have their own icon on the toolbar seem to be working fine.

I have added (as a start) some web shortcuts to my Firefox Focus home screen. However, they are cut off, so I can only see the top part of the label. I can work out what they are but what happens when I add more shortcuts? How can I see the whole shortcut and label, please? I'm using Android version 14.

If I open a second tab on the screen it says the connection has crashed and keeps doing it if you try again. If you reset it resets Firefox including the other tab.

This pops up every few hours. Sometimes it pops up invisible but steals focus from the main window. How can this be disabled?

I tried all methods that have been mentioned everywhere on the Internet, including policy.json, Group Policy on Windows, etc. Nothing disables this nagging yet.

When I do right mouse click on page, depending on the mouse cursor position, context menu appears and I need to scroll up or down to access appropriate item. I thought I need to try and fix size and position of a page context menu. Is it possible? Good morning Windows 10, TB 115.11.0 32 bit. Multiple email accounts, some gmail, others like sfr, lol and free. All accounts use POP. All working before weekend, shut down the PC. Monday morning, opened Windows, all seems there except TB which has a screen with an Account Setup tab inviting me to set up an existing email address. Close that tab and the attached screen image appears, open tabs blank, no accounts pane on the left, no emails, no local folders. Nuffin. Restart TB and Windows, twice, still Nuffin. Look in Profiles, yes, under Mail all profiles appear to be present and the correct size. Going to gmail’s on line email system shews account open and receiving email normally. I had a problem a month ago after a TB update when all accounts were present but no emails were displayed. I changed the password to 0auth and recovered my emails. That took three days to resolve and I lost a business client through the delay in responding. Today I must file several court documents or I shall be in deep poo. Any suggestions how to recover the left hand accounts pane and see the accounts and folders will earn my undying gratitude.
