everytime I try to open a hyperlink, Firefox takes me to: type a web address screen, prior to this, it took me to Bookmarks? Why can I not just click and go direct to hyperlink?

I try to open hyperlinks and Firefox was taking me to the bookmark page...

I fiddled with something and now it takes me to a screen saying Type the web address

Why does it not take me direct to the hyperlink?
