It would be nice if anyone could send me a fix for an addon the author seems to have abandoned: https://addons.mozilla.org/En-us/firefox/addon/open-link-in/

The actual issue:

"open link in background window" impossible. + open link in bckgd tab or bckgd window appear in context menu without right clicking a Link.. when it should only appear if a link is right clicked..

& for the addon: "searchwith"

A userstyle (css code) To hide:

Address bar all services manage services

& the two separators..

The last posting in the support thread for that extension was made on 09-07-2013 - almost 4 years ago, just before Firefox 24 was released. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=118365&start=105

"Open Link/img in Background Tab, in context menu"

Nothing to do with "open link in new background window" & only recent firefox updates broke that addon even if it hasn't been updated since a while.

You can open a link in a background tab by holding the Shift key when you Ctrl + left-click or middle-click a link. Shift toggles the default as set in Options/Preferences.

you haven't read me well corel.. that's not the issue..

the addon allows me to open links in background windows & the function seems to be broken in open link in... addon in ff55
