How to force update to a new version
My FFOS is Flame which came with Boot2Gecko 2.0.0.0-prerelease (20141016183911) factory preinstalled. Also, Git commit info reads: 2014-10-10 07:25:55 (8c5c956e).
This is a quite old release and I am hoping to be able to upgrade to FFOS 2.1 or 2.2, which have been released for quite a while. Whenever I check for updates (over 3G or WiFi, as indicated on http://mzl.la/1AjWu2i) I always get the response there are no updates available. This does not make much sense for me - why would even FFOS 2.1 not be available for a Tier 1 device?
- UPDATE*: I've manually checked the update server at https://aus4.mozilla.org/ and it *does* answer with <updates></updates>
So are there any instructions (via ADB?) to upgrade to a newer OS version, such as 2.1, 2.2 or 2.2r? Or, perhaps the release query URL has changed?
