I like the new support for Outlook. Thank you very much. This was the first year that I did not spend >16 hours rebuilding accounts each January. It is also nice that this support automatically transfered incoming emails to the Local Inbox.

Just recently, Spectrum Internet dropped POP3 support and I was able to setup IMAP.

Gee, It would be nice if there was just one more checkbox in the Account Setup which would automatically transfer IMAP messages to the Local Inbox.

Can this be added to the wish list?

Thunderbird will not let me move messages to the trash folder. If I do move a message to the trash bin the message will re-appear in the in-box. I have tried to follow the steps in the Mozilla support website but that did not work. When I try to delete a message I get the following:

The current operation on "inbox" did not succeed. The mail server for account rex@rexperry.com responded: [TRYCREATE] Mailbox doesn't exist: INBOX/ Trash (0.001+0.000 secs).

I am using an HP desktop machine running W11. This problem did not happen until I switched to the W11 machine.

Hi there I have been using Thunderbird for many years to manage the same many mail accounts on diverse PCs. I prefer using a portable version from portableapps.com, partly because when it comes to transferring to another gadget, it suffices just moving the portable folder, and I do not have to create dozens of accounts in a fresh install. Of late, I have been getting frequent irritating error messages for 2 Yahoo accounts. It connects to them & I can receive mail, but for automatic connections to the server in between, I keep getting error messages like: The current operation on 'inbox' did not succeed.' The mail account to abc@yahoo.com responded: p.', ... etc The other day, after reading about possible solutions from some forums, I decided to just delete both accounts and used the recommended Thunderbird connection settings for Yahoo to create the 2 accounts anew. I thought the problem was solved, only to have the same alerts every now & then reappearing, which amounts to a lot, if you have Thunderbird on many hours a day. I consistently update Thunderbird, the moment I'm alerted to a new version. I also have Gmail, Outlook, AOL(AIM) & other accounts, but not get similar issues. How do I permanently solve this problem? My @googlemail.com account has been working in Thunderbird for years. Two days ago it stopped. No incoming e-mails and attempts to send e-mails from Thunderbird result in the outgoing server timing out. I can access direct at gmail.

Please note that my previous e-mail: alan.rhodes@talktalk.net is no longer available The replacement: alan-rhodes@outlook.com has been blocked by MS-AI (It didn't like a circulation e-mail to 60 members of my local history group) The only working e-mail I have is the current problem one: rhodes.alan1@googlemail.com

Thunderbird (157.0.1 (64-bit)) write toolbar missing.

All things are correctly configured, as mentioned in this article, and nothing is working in making the Write (Compose) Formatting toolbar appear again.

Everything is set to compose in HTML format and the keyboard commands mentioned in other articles and so forth do nothing.

Is is perhaps a corrupted profile setting file somewhere? Is there a Config Editor setting that needs to/can be changed ?

Please advise, soonest, thank you in advance.

Today TB froze during start up. No problems yesterday.

I deleted global-messages-db.sqlite and restarted TB. Now it is frozen with a "Loading messages". Maybe it is rebuilding indexes and this takes a long time and I should be patient.

Maybe my In and Sent mail boxes are too big? If so, how can I safely prune them?

TB is becoming increasingly unstable for me. It was very reliable before about a month ago.

I doubt my AV is the culprit because AV has not changed today.

I moved some emails to a folder and they are not there. Tried to move last email to folder and it jumps back to my inbox. Also how do I access help in thunderbird?

There is apparently a bug in the latest release of Thunderbird, which has broken the callbacks for Yahoo! IMAP email using OAuth. Potentially, it may actually be a problem with Yahoo!, and how https://api.login.yahoo.com is attempting to reopen Thunderbird after logging in, as the process has changed. I've already reverted back to the ESR Thunderbird channel once, but on a recent update the issue was reintroduced. Screenshots are included.

Suddenly yesterday I no longer got the drop down box with my files to select, when I press "attach" or Ctrl, shift,A. I have turned the PC off a couple of times, and refresh Thunderbird but it still doesn't appear. Tried on my laptop and that works OK.

I've read that I can create several Thunderbird profiles and load my desired Profile to startup and use the Profile Manager to switch profiles. I'm guessing that I can only load one profile into Thunderbird at a time (?).

And if I wanted to check emails from another profile I'd have to close or switch or somehow unload the current profile(?).

It would seem to me if it were possible to load more than one profile at a time, then if two profiles had the exact same mailbox account, it would cause problems(?).

Appreciate any input from those with experience in this.

I have down loaded the latest version of Thunder Bird. The program still has my settings to access my e-mail. For some reason every time I try and read my e-mail the program locks up and I have to do a Task Manager to stop the program Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thanks Dave
