This category seemed the most appropriate from the list. Bookmarks are the first of 2 issues I need help with.

On my first start after upgrading to v158, all my bookmarks are missing, normally shown in a sidebar. All the suggested means of getting bookmarks back via a profile simply did not work: the restore panel asks for a file and all the various bookmarks in a profile are in a folder. the 2 did not mix. I do have exported bookmarks as a json file, but obviously it's hidden for FF, but not for explorer. Nothing recommended in the articles worked. In frustration, I removed the software and downloaded a new copy. Same issues applied. I copied the latest json file to the desktop, and restored it from there. AND after a restart, there were none of those bookmarks on the browser page. BUT selecting managing bookmarks and there they all are.

So how do I get the bookmarks from the management page to the normal user interface??

I am running win10 in the ESU program on this machine

Yahoo changed everything and I can find anything. Is there any way to get back my classic Yahoo. I would like to keep my Yahoo email because it is linked to everything. I fix most problems but it seems like everyday there is another missing part of the old classic Yahoo.

I know this is probably so easy to do, but I do have a brain disorder and I cannot figure out how to move saved folders into my main folder in my bookmarks. Please Help Me!!

Hi, I can't delete any bookmark. I have tried it : on the page, by clicking the star and "remove bookmark" ; in the bookmark list, by right-click and "delete bookmark" ; in the bookmark list, by using the "organise" tab and choosing "delete bookmark". It affects, as far as I can tell, all my bookmarks. I can add new bookmarks, but not delete them. I clean my cache regularly, and my browser is up to date. I use Windows10, in case that is relevant. When I bookmark YouTube videos the bookmark title is empty. This problem started right after the recent Firefox update.

Hello... I'm curious to know with Firefox bookmarks, is there a folder somewhere on Windows 11 that shows your bookmarks? What I'm getting at is that every time I do a clean installation of Windows and reinstall Firefox, I have to manually re-add all my bookmarks on the toolbar one at a time. Is there an easier way to do this? I have about 20 bookmarks on my toolbar, it would be nice if I could just simply copy all of them and paste them into the bookmarks folder, if there is such a thing, pls advise. Thanks

It is absolutely ridiculous to have a user interface that includes an item that is never used but keeps getting in the way.

Here it is 10 years after the introduction of "Other Bookmarks" and the folder is still not being used yet users cannot delete this trivial folder.

And no, hiding it does not work.

Every time I try to access a website using my bookmarks, they don't work, i.e., nothing happens. I have tried numerous bookmarks to be sure that it is not one or two where the web address has changed. I am considering uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox to see if that will over come the issue.

From my point of view Firefox is normally excellent and definitely my browser of choice. So this problem has come as a bit of a surprise.

I have done everything I can find to get my Firefox bookmarks menu working correctly in Windows 11. Every time I shut down and come back they are not working and I have to do a restore. The bookmarks are there but they are dead, inactive. I can do a restore and everything is happy, until I shut down and log back in.

I've done 2 clean new installs including deleting all the folders and files.

I've also done deleted remaining Program & Profile Folders (For a True Clean Install)

I've used extensions etc. to change this but nothing works. It's not even defaulting to the last folder saved in. Instead it stubbornly keeps using an odd folder I never selected for this purpose.

When I reinstalled Firefox, my categorized bookmarks were no longer visible. I re-categorized them using "Manage Bookmarks" and it was then Bookmarks Menu. But when I opened Firefox to use it, there was no "Bookmark Menu" and only "Bookmarks", where they appear but not categorized. Where do I find "Bookmarks Menu"?

On Windows I have my bookmarks arranged in folders. On Android each folder appears multiple times, with different numbers of bookmarks. I have re-installed Firefox on my phone. I had trouble syncing so I have exported from my PC as an HTML file, copied that to my phone and imported into Firefox. At the end, when I display bookmarks it's the same as before: see attached picture.
