For some reason after either a recent Firefox update or a Windows 11 update (genuinely don't recall which) anytime I enter the fullscreen of a video the windows taskbar is still visible, covering up the video player controls. If I enter fullscreen for the browser itself though (tapping f11) and then enter fullscreen on the video this doesn't happen. I've tested this on Chrome and Edge and this behavior happens on neither. Thought this was Youtube only but it also happens on Vimeo and Imgur, so I assume it happens on all video players. Firefox version 156.0, Windows 11 25H2 OS build 26200.9457

Lately, whenever I click into a youtube video from within youtube, instead of Firefox blocking autoplay, it mutes the video but lets it play.

Initially, it was muting EVERY video I pulled up, but messing with my settings has fixed the problem if I click into a youtube video from elsewhere (ex. a google search result), or if I refresh the page. It's super annoying to having navigating youtube be this non-functional right now, though, since everything just silently plays until I catch and unmute it! Any help would be super appreciated!

Hello! My firefox get a problem: The taskbar does not disappear when switching the video player to full-screen mode (the attached screenshot shows what it looks like). Clicking the browser icon on the taskbar a few times makes the taskbar disappear, but the problem recurs the next time full-screen mode is entered. This happens in all video players. Any solution to fix that?

Постоянное отображение панели задач (до тех пор, пока не нажму на иконку браузера на панели дважды. Повторяется с каждым заходом в режим "на весь экран" ), при просмотре видео, в браузере, в формате "на весь экран" с версии 156.0. в других браузерах подобной проблемы нет, только в Firefox. Прикладываю скрин визуального отображения проблемы. С настройками самой панели задач проблем нет, перепроверял.

The taskbar (the one with the Start menu) doesn't hide when watching videos in fullscreen mode. This happens on YouTube as well as on any other website. The problem disappears if I run the browser in Safe Mode. It's only Firefox that doesn't work — in Chrome the taskbar does disappear.

Hi, For a few days while I've been watching content on YouTube and several other streaming platforms, I have noticed that my screen will randomly go completely dark, then slowly fade brightness back up. While it is fading back in, there is an intense grey tint over the whole screen that takes longer to fade away than it takes for the brightness to return to (relatively) normal. This seems to only be happening when I am in full screen, and I truly have no idea what setting or issue could be causing it. At first I thought it was part of a video I was watching, but now that it has happened across quite a few videos and several different streaming platforms, I figure it must be something to do with the browser itself. Sometimes when it goes dark, the screen stays practically black for several seconds before beginning to fade the brightness up, sometimes it is less than one second that it's dark before going grey and fading back up. Interacting with some buttons seems to make it go back to normal, although when I click on settings on a video for example, when I click off of it/close settings, the screen goes back to however grey it was when I opened settings. Sound continues normally the whole time, and the only thing that seems to prevent it from happening is not using full screen, which I don't want to have to resort to, but it has become rather annoying and confusing. Any help is appreciated!

 I am facing a issue that if i am using youtube.com  on firefox android on one tab and then create a new tab and search on google something then come back to youtube it goes in landscape mode automatically. Please fix this and it also buffers a lot also fix that it make experience less appealing.

I get 'you browser cannot play this video" when I try to watch NFL Sunday Ticket on Youtube; what causes this? I use Linux Mint on my laptop.

I also have Opera browser installed; I get the same error using Opera.

I'm not sure when it started happening, but whenever I'm watching something full screen, or just full screening, Firefox on Mac, there's this thin white line at the top of the window that's very distracting. Has this been happening to anyone else and does anyone else know how to get rid of it?

When I pull up videos, some of them run fine while the majority will stutter heavily. I'm not sure if they're av1 encoded but I tried the same videos with helium browser and chromium and they do not have this issue. I have "Use hardware acceleration when available" turned on and I use a 7800x3d cpu, rtx 5080, 64gb of ram, and 2tb of storage on an nvme m.2 drive. If anyone can find a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, this is the basic problem:

The short version is that there is a problem with Firefox not interacting with the scrub bar and volume bar. (all other controls work fine) We know it's a Firefox thing because everything works with Brave. (or an interaction between Firefox and the OS at least, Firefox is heavily involved)

You can use the Firefox manifesto V0.2. video for an example, as it displays all the above problems for me.

I can get you guys whatever other data might be needed, but I kinda need an idea where to look to try and fix this, as all the other posts I have managed to find don't seem to have similar enough issues to work.
