the same config. of firefox and windows on my laptop and everything working great, on this pc I can't work in facebook and yahoo (can't even check the e-mail - it goes max. to the mail, but nothing working there)

facebook loading certain pages, but some links ain't open and sending/writing isn't possible to do (gives me oops.... message)

I've tried cleaning cash, history, cookies all together, configuring firewall and privacy settings, I've deleted even profile config. folder from Application data and changed to the one I've copied from my laptop, where everything works. NO results!

Scanned for malware with Symantec AV and Ad-Aware (Lavasoft) - sistem's clean.

can anybody answer this question..... so far there's no other site that I have problems,... only this 2 yahoo and facebook.

and only on this machine, so this is strange.

Checked it in Opera on the same pc, at the same time running Firefox, facebook and yahoo working perfect in Opera, but almost not at all in Firefox.

C'mon support..... I'd like to get some actually!

Tried Firefox 4 b4 the same result.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

If it still happens with a new, unmodified, Firefox profile then maybe security software is causing the problems and you should check that.

Thank you Cor-el!

I deleted all profile folders, then restarted firefox, twas empty, then I coppied profile from the Firefox I have on my laptop, where all working good.

Now, the security stuff I have on my pc is the same as on laptop and I used it for ages, (Symantec and Add-Aware nothing more) no new addons for firefox either, the same one on both pc and laptop and for at least few years already.

Still all's working on laptop, but not on pc, + I've downloaded opera and both yahoo and facebook working great there at the same time running firefox... doesn't work.

You can still try to remove all Firefox rules from your security software and let that program ask again for permission.

You can also do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Nothing actually helped, after i've done all scans and searches with bunch of this Anti.... programs as described.

In the end I've uninstalled my WinXP on PC and using WinVista instead, there everything working just fine as well as my WinXP on laptop.

Strange that there's no solution to the problem at all!
