Firefox constantly redirects my computer to otherpages
After clicking on a link I get redirected to other unrelated commercial sites. I can close each and eventually bring up the selected site. I have installed adware blocks , reinstalled Firefox 30 with no success. I reluctantly changed my default browser to I/E which does not have this problem. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

cor-el, thanks for the 6/24 advice. I downloaded and ran the first five suggestedprograms with the first, malewarebytes seems to be the most effective. One, adwcleaner, wanted a switch to a $30 program to complete so I skipped it.
So far, it looks good. The Foxfire browser has not had a repeat of the problems. Thanks, muted99.
