Smart Window includes a feature that lets you share feedback on assistant responses with Mozilla. Your feedback helps improve Smart Window.

Note: Smart Window will be gradually made available to the Firefox user base, starting with users in the United States and Canada in Firefox version 150. If you’re interested in being a part of the early access program, you can sign up for the waitlist.

How feedback works

After each response in Smart Window, you’ll see:

  • A thumbs-up button
  • A thumbs-down button

You can use these buttons to share your feedback on the response and optionally provide more details.

Send positive feedback

If a response was helpful, click the thumbs-up button. In the pop-up, enter more details if you’d like. Then submit.

Send negative feedback

If a response was unhelpful or incorrect, click the thumbs-down button. In the pop-up, choose the reasons for the negative feedback and add more details if you’d like. Then submit.

You can provide negative feedback for any reason. Examples include:

  • A response was wrong or misleading
  • A response was overly general or too personal
  • A response didn’t take into account your context — like the page you were viewing
  • The response was formatted strangely
  • The response was harmful, offensive, or inappropriate in some way.
  • The assistant didn’t follow your instructions
  • The assistant seemed slow

How Mozilla handles feedback data

Mozilla uses feedback submissions to improve Smart Window and evaluate response quality. No identifiers, such as Firefox browser IDs or IP addresses, are associated with the feedback. Only an approved group of Firefox team members can review submissions and feedback, and it’s only for product improvement and safety review purposes. Feedback data is deleted after 1 year.

What data is sent with my feedback?

Any feedback you submit is anonymous. We won’t know that it came from you, your browser, or computer. Here’s the data we receive when you submit feedback:

  • Your thumbs-up or thumbs-down selection
  • Any additional comments you provide
  • Your browser language
  • The model you were using at the time
  • How long your conversation was (for example, 5 back-and-forth messages)
  • Your Firefox and Smart Window versions
Note: Please don’t include personal or sensitive information as feedback comments.
