Under clear recent history, does form and search history being ticked, clear details as in ads as you see in my link? [url=http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/9526036/file.html][img=http://www15.zippyshare.com/thumb/9526036/file.html]/img/url

Names and passwords are stored in the Password Manager and not as form data, so that data isn't included when clearing form data.

Note that Firefox stores the name as form data if you disable the Password Manager (untick: "Remember passwords for sites") and saving form data is enabled.

OK, you store the names and passwords in the Password Manager, so they won't be affected with clearing form data.

You can verify that by checking the names in the Password Manager.

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

You can also use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list
  3. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Thanks, i`m still having problems with ad posting form info. When i want to repost an ad i usually can click on the particular info box and it will show what i had in the original ad, therefore not having to retype the info. Is there something i`m doing that removes the info?

I just checked and the ad details were there. After clear recent history with "form and search history" ticked, that info is gone.

The data that you posted in the screenshot (^^) is form data and will thus be removed if you clear saved form data.

Only data stored in the Password Manager and that you see there will be kept.

I see in the screenshot that you have a toolbar with an AutoFill button, so things may be different and you will have to check the settings of that extension.

I did a test by posting an ad, put the necessary ad data in and then unticked "form and search history", cleared the recent history and the ad data is still there, but i have never had to untick "form and search history before.

It is possible that previously this data wasn't stored in Firefox, but was handled by the AutoFill feature that I mentioned above and that this feature isn't working in the current Firefox release.
