I have repeatedly attempted every solution you have recommended regarding the javascript issues related to Firefox 26 and 23 - 25 and none have improved or corrected any of the issues I am suffering. I am unable to print anything and have reinstalled my printer software (my printer works fine elsewhere - just not in Firefox currently now at all since upgrading to 26) , Facebook screens are blank, etc. Loading of all web pages is slow or doesn't occurs at all. MS Essentials and Malwarebytes reveals nothing infecting my computer. I had no difficulties whatsoever prior to upgrading to Firefox 26. I devoted this entire weekend to trying to repair this problem, all to no avail. I need a solution. I have exhausted all of your recommendations. No firewall or ad-blocker is at cause.

Hello,

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

Thank you.

WARNING: Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!

Uh, you have a boatload of addons, have you tried safe mode yet?

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

FirefoxSafeMode

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode" Safe Mode Fx 15 - Win

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.

Thank you.

I tried your suggestion three times as I tried it from Chrome, too. It did not make any change at all.

Thank you anyway.

Correction: My reply was intended for the advice offered for iamjayakumars. I have not yet methodically tried the other steps suggested by Waka_Floka_Flame. I will try those as soon as I am able. I tried them this weekend in a different order. I will report back. Thank you.

I am familiar with putting Firefox into safe mode and know many methods to get it there and none are working. As I have spent now three days trying to get some resolution, I am becoming quite frustrated. Nothing seems to be helping me. Any additional ideas for me? ALL efforts to get into safe mode just reach a "restart with add-ons disabled and restart" question IF and ONLY IF and go into Help and nothing else. I cannot get into safe mode no matter what I try and I know addition methods and none result.
