The most current version of Firefox is indeed version 25.0.1.

The current Firefox release is Firefox 25.0.1.
There are later versions (26.0 beta, 27.0a2, 28.0a1) meant for testing by experienced users that can be installed alongside of the current release, but those are not suited for the normal Firefox users as they can be quit unstable and prone to crash at times.
So stay away from those developer versions.

NancyGlenn, where have you seen the mention that Firefox 27.0 is the latest ?

I could not enter into my online bank account and the bank told me I needed to update to version 27. When I tried to update I was told I was up to date, therefore the question. Thanks for your help

Are you sure your bank stated 27.0 for Firefox ? As even Fx 26.0 is not released yet until December 10 and for Fx 27.0 it will not be until the week of February 4.

Could you copy +paste the exact text of what the bank says it needs for browser versions.

Your bank is wrong.
Updating to Firefox 27.0 would require you to switch to the beta version of Firefox.

This should never be a requirement in order for users to view websites.

Actually the Aurora channel (27.0a2) as Firefox 26.0 is on Beta channel until the move/merge of the versions on each channel happens starting December 9.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

What Operating System are you using?

Did you download and saved and installed the full Firefox 28 installer?

My computer is on Microsoft 7 Home version and maybe I found the solution by searching around. On Micro 7 the menu is in the Firefox dropdown and not on the right side with Home, Arrow, and bookmarks as it shows in Firefox Help. Below is my attempt at a screen shot. Your response with links is really great and thanks for that.

You have the orange Firefox menu button enabled, so you do not see the menu bar.
You can access most menu items via this Firefox menu button.

You can press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the hidden Menu bar.
