I want to make the browser window the size I WANT and it won't. The window keeps snapping back and won't go where I want!
this is so messed up. the window edge snaps back when I try to resize. the horizontal is worse than the vertical. it happens at startup and when the energy saving closes down the computer it has to be all redone.
this is a brand new windows computer with all the latest firefox, flash, etc.

Is this setting unchecked?
- Tools > Options > Content : JavaScript > Advanced > Allow Scripts to: [] "Move or resize existing windows"
We've seen issues like this seen reported as caused by the Flash plugin.
Is there any Flash content in those pop-op windows?
Tools > Options > Content : JavaScript > Advanced > Allow Scripts to: [] "Move or resize existing windows" this option is UNCHECKED
I have added a brand new monitor and this happens now at startup and the Firefox window will not go bigger than 3/5 of my screen size unless it goes so big that the browser frame sides are not grabbable or dragable either.
Basically I am working with a small screen and can't keep an eye on a notification on the desktop that doesnt take up much room. I don't have control of my own window size.
As far as flash content on the page--I have tried opening a new tab with nothing on it and it still won't resize for me.
We've seen reports that there are problems with resizing a window with a Flash object in it.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox and maybe in the Flash player as well.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Try to "disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.
