I'm not getting any sound through my headphones on Firefox, but they work just fine with Google Chrome. Can you please tell me what's wrong?

I tried to listen to some music on Playlist.com and Youtube while using Firefox, but I'm not getting any sound from my headphones. I tried both sites using Google Chrome and the sound worked just fine. What is causing the sound glitch on Firefox?
