I'm using Firefox 5 on Windows Vista Home SP1.

Since I upgraded to FF5, some sites either simply will not load. No error messages are given - the green circle icon in the tab just keep spinning.

There's two pages that I visit daily that this happens to (though there are other pages).

For the page http://diablo.incgamers.com, on the bottom left of the page it says "Read ssl.gstatic.com".

The other page is http://www.jewelrydod.com but there's no message like the other page.

Both of those sites load properly in Chrome and in IE.

The pages also do not load in Firefox in Safe Mode.

Help?

Thanks!!!!

Paul

You're right, I should have mentioned that I went to the "Please see Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can" page.

On that page, there are two sections that seem to apply:

  • Firefox cannot load certain websites: where I have already Clear(ed) Recent History and cleared both the Cookies and Cache. No effect.
  • Check for malware: I already use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, keep it in the background AND run it manually daily.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
