I seem to have got myself into a real mess with this. Attempted some of the fixes without success. Decided that that a re-install might work. couldn't find firefox.exe in programs or apps but firefox helper is there, but refuses to uninstall. Attempted new download which was OK but installation failed. Are there any easy answers to this. Edge works ok and have checked for malware. I'm not very tech savvy. Any help would be appreciated

Hi john.mills6, sorry to hear about this problem.

What error do you get when running the installer?

If the small "stub" installer doesn't work, try a full or "offline" installer from the following page:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
