After updating to 69.0.2 (automatically) I restarted firefox and the title became my problem. at first it looked like they where all gone (which was expected) but! something else is happening (dont know what) firefox is atm jittery, however opening the about firefox window is no problem, as stated the new tab button is no where to be found. if I force close firefox it suddenly loads in the favicons of the 23 tabs for a moment and then closes. I tried to restore my session hoping that would work but alas no difference, the same problem remains. now I always seem to have problems with updates, related to my session, but it never really did this. Currently I am letting it do its thing maybe it just needs time, currently eating 6 gb, which is normal for a firefox instance, when all my tabs are loaded there are usually 5 of these instances. the plugin icons are not visible.

edit: So after I crashed firefox twice it now functions for some reason. everything works now. which is very strange............

Well, glad that everything is working again for you. There was a version 69.0.3 released recently to fix some issues that were discovered with a recent update, so perhaps Firefox downloaded that update and fixed the problem?

Nevertheless, glad it's working now.
