Sync sign-in does not appear on Linux-Lite 3.4, FireFox V54 N255 Netbook
I use sync on a number of windows PCs, Linux Pcs, and Android tablet and phone.
I have a Toshiba N255 netbook on which I have installed Linux Lite 3.4 and am unable to sync on it because the sync page shows only (see image file)
Sync ?
I have tried using an external monitor to show a larger display, but this is unsuccessful.
Educated guesses below are correct.

Hi the-edmeister: I did a quick 2 minute superficial search of the linuxliteos support forums and my guess is that Firefox sync does get compiled into Firefox
Hi jpurssey:
I tried Firefox 55 on Fedora 26 and the sync panel is there: https://www.flickr.com/photos/roland/35780806483/
I asked the person (one of the Firefox engineers) with the Fedora 26 Linux box and he suggested:
setting gfx.webrender.enabled to FALSE
in about:config (screenshot: https://www.flickr.com/photos/roland/36590061655/ )but that's a guess and might not help!
Finally if that doesn't work, I would try asking https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/index.php as the-edmeister suggested
Cheers!

Hi jpurssey
It looks like you didn't attach the screenshot with your image or post a link? Could you please do so?

Sorry. Can't have finished attaching before.
I wonder if that build of Firefox includes the Sync feature?
Linux OS's usually build Firefox from source code rather than use Mozilla build of Firefox for Linux; to allow them to customize their Firefox installation to suit their tastes. When building from source there are many "switches" available to allow the builder a degree of latitude for including or excluding features.
Maybe they just decided not to offer Sync functionality. If that is the case it seems to me that hiding the Sync tab in Preferences would have made sense, but the "rules" for being able to use the Firefox name may have precluded that from being done in the past. Very recently (like the last few months) Mozilla has eased those "rules" and 'builds' are allowed more latitude when they modify Firefox for inclusion in their OS installation and update package.
I have no idea and recommend that you visit the appropriate Linux Lite support forum for an answer. https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/index.php

The LinuxLite people told me that the default theme has to be enabled and Firefox restarted. This worked. I didn't ask why the default theme isn't enabled by default (Ha Ha).
