I have had problems with this ad several weeks. I'm guessing 3 or 4. It seems to pop up mainly on facebook. When it first started I could close it out ok. It is a very big annoyance. Sometimes popping up 2 times in less than 10 minutes. I downloaded the new firefox and it was working great. My avast virus and malware protection says everything is good. Now the ad is starting to effect both facebook and Firefox. It minimizes both firefox and itself in 2 separate tabs. However when I click on it and then click close it shuts down both. I am afraid I may be sharing my problems with your product. Earlier it would lock up or freeze the page so I couldn't continue my work. I even reported the problem to centurylink in case it was hired by them.

You can stop the forcing of full screen mode in the browser window by changing this setting in about:config: full-screen-api.enabled -> false Whether this works with videos I am not sure. The only time a video goes to full screen for me is if I click the player icon that does that.

Do you use an ad blocker such as Adblock Plus? I have found it indispensible. I have 4 subscriptions with it, plus a personal blocklist.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
