How do I get a clean reinstall of Firefox
I have uninstalled Fire Fox a couple times and reinstalled Twice but it reinstalls with the same issues I had before. I uninstalled from add & remove programs in windows 7, but did not go to C drive & delete what was under X 86. Will try that next. Original problem was that my wife opened a website called Easy Quilts, which proceeded to install Yahoo Toolbar, My search dial, a video replay site, an audio telling me the computer had Viruses & the list continued. Had problems with a toolbar & My Search Dial before & had to uninstall Fire Fox & reinstall and everything was fine. But this time it did not work, hope there is a solution because I prefer to use Fire Fox.

This software could be installed at the system level. In that case, Firefox may keep finding it in the Windows registry until you uninstall that software.
Try the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, and click the "Installed on" column heading to group items by date. Here you may find some items that you do not recognize or do not want, and go ahead and remove those.
Next, to clean re-install, you may want to rename your program folder in case there are plugins you need to salvage from there later.
(1) If needed, download a fresh installer for Firefox 30 from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ to a convenient location. (Scroll down to your preferred language.)
(2) Exit out of Firefox.
(3) Rename the folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
to
C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
(4) Run the installer you downloaded in #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
Are there any fewer ads or unwanted toolbars?
Note: Some plugins may exist only in that OldFirefox folder. If something essential is missing, look in these folders:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox\Plugins
- C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox\browser\plugins

You may also want to supplement your regular security software with some of the scanning and cleaning tools listed in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
You should try de-activating/removing your HowToSimplified Installer Plugin which is from a troublesome family.
Google will give you the general idea.
