Some change has been made to the system which has deleted the link to my I Phone, which no longer receives the incoming e-mails. The I Phone has been beenchecked and no changes have been made at that end. What can be done to recover the link? Please help a 90+ user with no technical knowledge . Kind regards Michael Butcher

I recently joined Thunderbird on my mobile. I did this because I could not open my emails through Google as a mesage from Google was obscuring much of the screen. So now I just click on the Thunderbird icon on my mobile and I am into my gmail account. But I can't access my gmail account on my laptop. The obstructive image on my screen is still there. Can you help?

My name is Leonard C. Beers III and I am contacting you on behalf of my father, Leonard C. Beers JR. My father will be 101 years old next month. He has been a user of Thunderbird for many years and loved it. Unfortunately, his health has declined and is currently under Hospice care. For several months, he has not used thunderbird and will never be able to use it again. That being said, he continues to receive a charge from Thunderbird monthly in the amount of $21.40. I have tried to figure out how to stop his account for a couple of months with no success. I would appreciate it if someone could help me to stop his account and negate any future charges. I am unable to add new contacts in my contact list. It definitely is creating a problem. Why will it not let me add them, please and how do I fix the issue? I did not have this problem until I got a new computer and using Windows 11.

The tool bar across the top is gone. Can that be fixed. In it absence, I realize that I used those tools often. Please help. I am John Griffith at email: griffith@reagan.com

Hello Everybody . I have used Thunderbird for a number of years and I like it and have supported it from time to time with donations . I am a person with dyslexia and their a lot of people with this problem . more than you would think . The one thing that I think would be nice is to have a speech to text as part of Thunderbird . It would be a big help to us with dyslexia . Thank you for letting me bend your ear .

I updated Thunderbird yesterday and today it is talking to me. Why, it is annoying as hell to have it repeat everything I do over and over. How do I shut it off.

mozilla keeps sending messages that i am not current with payment to spectrum. Spectrum says i am current and mozilla is sending this messagesaying i'm not and that i should contact you

I have come across some people who ask about the thickness of scrollbars.

Do you find the scrollbars are just too thin and difficult to select because your eyesight is not so good or maybe you have less ease in controlling the mouse? If yes then the following information may be of help.

Options allowed me to set background colour, needed urgently as I am visually impaired. Online advice to set colours is: tools/options/...............go from there But options has disappeared now. Should I revert to an earlier version of Tbird, or can you reinstate, OR do I look elsewhere for an email app?? I am a longterm user, and wish to continue with Tbird. Oldcove99 // Aug 2 2025

I have visual issues and cannot read thin text. I am trying to set up a Windows machine where it defaults to thin text. Yes, both Windows and Thunderbird allow users to increase font size and scaling, but I don't have enough screen size. It's much more helpful to increase font weight, and only somewhat increase some font sizes.

I already have /* Global UI font */

• { font-family: Andika !important; }
• { font-size: 12pt !important; }
• {font-weight: bolder !important;}

Which makes the message list good and bold, and

1. threadTree tr[data-properties~="unread"] {

color: red !important; }

Which distinguishes unread messages.

But for whatever reason, the fix doesn't extend to the messages or the settings page.

I'm trying to get Thunderbird working on Windows.

I can't read thin faint Windows-style font rendering. I can set * {font-weight: bolder !important;} in userChrome.css, but since Thunderbird relies on boldness to distinguish unread and read messages, I'd need to find another way to distinguish these.

I also use MacType, but it doesn't seem to affect Thunderbird or Firefox.

As far as I can see, either 1. if the css can distinguish unread and read messages, maybe I could set extrabold and semibold, or I could set different colors. Or 2. I could set a bolder font with good-enough script support.

Hello Development team, I am a long-time user of the Thunderbird e-mail client, having used it since it was Netscape Communicator. I have suffered from many upgrades that did not work well with my style of communication. However, the disappointing upgrade events using TB have been well overridden by the successful use of the overall e-mail client. Today’s topic is the latest upgrade, 140.0.1esr. The message page in dark mode shows darker links and text than it did using the add-on (Dark Mode). I have lost the ability to control text colors and the link status colors. I do not want to wander into the Config Editor to try and correct the linking status with a custom CSS entry. I have discovered the switch on the message panel to disable the “Dark Message Board”. I don’t like this method. I prefer a dark background and the ability to customize the message and link status colors while reading my messages.

I am running Thunderbird (release 140) with the Dark Theme selected. A few messages are received that are unreadable because of the text color chosen by the sender. I am wondering if there is a method to adjust a parameter for an unreadable message to make it readable. I would prefer not to have to change the Theme to Light for just a few messages!
