When using vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting enabled, sidebar scrolls up with each expansion, so that when hovering over a certain tab of collapsed sidebar, another open tab is under the mouse pointer when expanded. For additional details please refer to the attached video.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting 2. Open a lot of tabs 3. Hover over a certain tab

Observed result: The sidebar expands with mouse over another tab and the list of tabs scrolled up.

Expected result: The sidebar expands and mouse pointer is hovering over the same tab after expansion from collapsed state.

I’ve been testing a simple online click counter to track clicks and sometimes test my clicking speed. The tool works fine most of the time, but in Firefox I noticed that after refreshing the page the counter occasionally keeps the previous number instead of resetting to 0.

I’m not sure if it’s related to Firefox caching or local storage behavior. Has anyone experienced something similar with web tools that store values in the browser?

Would clearing cache or disabling something fix it, or could it be a Firefox-specific issue?

I need a fucking no on this setting, not a "not now". I do not want the browser to open on startup. But when I do want the browser open, there is the browser asking me again like an ex that wont get the hint.

...and getting this message.....Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Quite simply I replaced the dead power supply on an old PC of mine and booted it up to start using it again as a work PC.

When I did the now decade old version on firefox told me I might want a clean reboot which I clicked Ok since the history was so old on it as to be irrelevant. Firefox closed but didn't reboot. So I launched it again and simply chose not to restore the old tabs when prompted (not even some of them as that was also an option). I updated the old version on firefox I had on it before restarting it and logging into my firefox account to sync and try to transfer my work tabs to the old PC. When I did so I realized on the old PC that reopening Firefox didn't reopen where I had left off. I thought it was just the update but did a check nonetheless. Opening a couple of random tabs before exiting firefox and launching it again. It didn't reopen the last tabs. I checked the settings: "open previous windows and tabs" was checked. Did a brief google search that confirmed my next step: uncheck that box > exit firefox > launch firefox > check the box again > relaunch firefox. I did all that and was still not getting my tabs back.

Then I went back to my current PC (where I had changed nothing) and missclicked (I think I was going to the settings) exiting firefox there (3 windows and probably ~60 tabs ... yes I have a problem). And now even on my main PC firefox didn't restore windows and tabs!

I hoped I could go to history > reopen closed windows but no dice. The option is greyed out. That is also when I noticed I had no history whatsoever.

Now I unfortunately relaunched firefox a couple of times here trying to troubleshoot BEFORE I went online and saw that I could have possibly restored the last session using some backups.

With all that in mind can I still restore my tabs/history somehow? And why isn't firefox picking up where I leave it even though the option for it is on?

All of this is on firefox v148.0 on win10 for both PCs if that's relevant.

Firefox will only start if I sign in as an administrator. It doesn't connect to the internet, and I can't get to the help screen. I did a refresh but that hasn't help. If I uninstall and then reinstall a new copy correct the problem? How do I save and reinstall my bookmarks and settings? I love Firefox and prefer it over other browsers. But I need to fix it and any help you provide will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

when attempting to login to 53.com credentials are entered, login pressed, login flashes but no login.... as if there is a pop up or something that should occur and doesn't. On edge it works fine, press login and a clock like symbol overlays the login button and then you are in....

I am encountering an issue where, while searching for images on google, the images appear extremely low resolution. When I attempt to open the image in another tab, it remains extremely low resolution and low quality. The issue is not with the images themselves, as I am able to view them on my phone with higher resolution, it is just my desktop that experiences this issue. Please fix it.

I need to uninstal firefox because it is not opening, keep getting message to first close firefox !!! I can not close firefox because I can't get it to open in the first place.

Normally, when zoom in on a web page in Firefox, the page will adjust so the page content is still visible, by insisting the magnified content is still visible, or a vertical scroll bar is created to reveal the content.

I also run into pages where the content is only visible when the page is 100% or less.

Can this be adjusted?

The site froze while playing a video. It happened multiple times. Is anyone else reporting this kind of behavior on Instagram. I closed the tab, but cpu stress-like side effects remained for a while.

I have been looking for any "cast to device" button or setting on and off for a few weeks now and can't seem to find it. Not sure if it's just right out disabled in the browser (because other sites allow me to cast), but YouTube specifically just doesn't have the option anymore. Just wondering if it's something on my end or if it's fixable at all.

I use an online retailer to buy birthday cards and gifts - Moonpig.com. Whenever I choose Paypal as my payment option, it logs me directly into my Paypal account without me entering any details. I have several Paypal accounts and want to choose which one to use. I have no saved payment details on Moonpig's site and having checked, they say that somehow my browser is logging me in automatically. That's Firefox and I want it to stop.

I have no issues with Firefox storing log-in details but I should be able to choose which Paypal account I want to use.

Any thoughts please? UF

after Firefox update all bookmarks stopped working and are not editable. All tabs crash, including Firefox help link from the Firefox menu.

Password list is blank - no entries

Is there any way to retrieve bookmarks?

I need to enter each url in the browser line and save bookmark for it to work.

There are times when i am using Firefox that my PC will randomly disconnect from the internet. Sometimes it will reconnect on its own after I close Firefox. Other times I either have to restart my PC or go into Network & Internet settings and connect to my network. I am still running Window 10, free updates. Does anyone know what is causing this? It does not happen with any other browsers.
