I'm unsure if this is the right place to be asking this as I'm new to the Mozilla forums, but I've noticed an issue with how text aligns when printing in the latest version of Firefox (148.0), specifically I'm using the 64-bit installation on Windows - I cannot confirm whether or not this issue can be replicated on other environments as I do not use them.

I noticed this issue when trying to print an order summary from Shopify - both in preview, physically printed sheets, and PDFs, the shipping/billing addresses had their lines 'smushed' together, rendering them illegible.

Was there a tweak in the latest update affecting how Firefox handles text, specifically in regards to its alignment, when printing from a webpage?

At first I thought this was a Shopify issue (as is the case more often than not), but after trying this out on different browsers (namely Chrome and Safari - boo), I could not replicate the issue.

I would share screenshots of how the issue presents, however I cannot do this without being in breach of GDPR and I do not want to share customers' sensitive information.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

I goofed up today by making a stupid change to one of my manual message filters and running it which added a tag to very many emails according to the filter log. I didn't know how to undo that directly so I figured I would just restore my profile from a backup. So I closed Thunderbird and restored my entire profile folder from a backup of 1 or 2 days ago. Upon reopening Thunderbird, naturally all emails from the last day or two were gone but I assumed they would just re-download. They didn't. I only got 1 or 2 very new emails.

I vaguely recall doing this sort of restore, or go back a couple days, to recover from another mess up and it did re-download the missing couple days.

In our organization we have moved from an on-premise mail server to M365. We've also added our new EWS-based accounts to Thunderbird. Since there are a large number of users with a significant amount of older mails they want to have access to, they have been asking how they could upload them to EWS now.

We've noticed that either copying or moving messages from local folders to an EWS folder fails after some time. Has anyone encountered this?

In our organization we have moved from an on-premise mail server to M365. We've also added our new EWS-based accounts to Thunderbird. Since there are a large number of users with a significant amount of older mails they want to have access to, they have been asking how they could upload them to EWS now.

From the looks of it, using TB one can either drag and drop messages from the local folders to EWS. Would message copy/move from the local folders be faster if the EWS account was setup over IMAP, instead of over EWS? If so, we could setup another account corresponding to the same EWS identity, but over IMAP, just for the purposes of transferring messages faster.

Thanks in advance for any information provided.

I had a Gmail address set up in Thunderbird on my old computer (Win 10). I had to get a new computer with Win 11. I have my Earthlink addresses set up okay.

But I've been unable to properly set up the Gmail address. I enter all the information, but the account vanishes from T-bird. All I have in Thunderbird is a Thunderbird Tab with Google info. It's a full page which might not come out clear with a screenshot, so I'm copying what's on this Tab ....

Im on the fly paying a bill and I want to get it done but oh its firefox update time and I dont have an instant choice stop that. I have first tell my security system that I dont want to make changes to my software at this moment I wanbt to use the browser for something important to Me. But still firefox wont let me. I have to wait till it processes my denial then comes the irritatin popup about download or dismiss and I have to respond to that wasting more critial moments for me then after a few more precious to me moments firfox will open and let me use it. This irritates the hell out of me and the worst part is if I dont waste more of my time performing the update when firefox chooses it will shanghai my browser all over again every time until I update. The worst thing is sometimes updates comie in rapid succession. Major irritation. How do I stop this? whats the work around here? I want to up date when it suits me not when it suit firefox.

Good afternoon.

When I receive emails such as password resets, or email verifications, etc., they always contain a line such as "click the link to verify your email", and they never display correctly like they do in other email programs, and I have to literally copy and paste the link in a web browser manually.

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing?

I have re-downloaded Thunderbird several times but the problem persists. I am using Firefox. And using the in and out servers as per my win 10 laptop.

Hello Thunderbird Community Help!

After reviewing and implementing all the suggestions on the Mozilla/Thunderbird support pages and on the internet, I still cannot send emails from my office365 mail account from Thunderbird. I was able to send/receive email messages until about 4-5 days ago. From several different accounts on my laptop. And from two different laptops: one using Windows 10 and the other 11. Now, both will receive emails to their inboxes but neither will send a message.

I have the various set-up parameters set as recommended for SMTP using Oauth2, see below and the attached photo:

Outgoing (SMTP): Server: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 Security: STARTTLS Authentication: OAuth2 Username: Your full Office 365 email address

I have deleted the stored password hundreds of times. I have deactivated MFA with Microsoft. I have deleted the e-mail profile in question many times, and have re-created it using automated and/or manual configurations. And I have deleted stored passwords.

I keep getting this message:

"Login to server smtp.office365.com with username [my.email.address] failed." With three button choices: "Retry" "Enter New Password" "Cancel"

No luck with Retry or Enter New Password. They both result in a brief, failed re-attempt to send the email message, and a return to the previous message and choices.

Pressing "Cancel" results in this message: "Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) . Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'."

Additionally I've reset my MS password several times. And MS seemingly is uninterested in having TBird/me login to my office365 account. I just get this response repeated over and over:

"Login to server smtp.office365.com with username [my.email.address] failed." With three button choices: "Retry" "Enter New Password" "Cancel".

I've spent a LOT of time over the past few days and over the weekend looking for a solution, but nothing so far has worked and I'm at my wit's end!!

Any help that you folks far more experienced with TBird can give me to get things working again would be GREATLY appreciated.

Best regards...

Tony

I updated to the newest version of Thunderbird. I was having problems authenticating the accounts I have set up (I was required to do this after the update), but finally succeeded. Two of my accounts do not show all of the folders that are in those accounts. The other accounts are fine. When I try to subscribe, the missing folders do not show up even after refresh. The folders are in the web interface for those two accounts, and also show up fine in my phone. I removed the accounts and re-added them, but the folders still do not show up. The two accounts (Frontier) are hosted by Yahoo. I also have a regular yahoo account and those folders show up fine.
