Firefox keeps crashing; I have tried all suggested fixes.
Running Pentium 3.3 MgH, 2 G RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, AVAST Anti-virus/Internet Security Premier.. I cannot stop Firefox from crashing. I have tried all suggested fixes. It even crashes in Safe Mode. I am attending college online and cannot use IE, and Chrome takes up too much memory and processing speed for me to use it for any length of time. My school's online system is set up to be most compatible with Firefox. When I take tests, I have one chance only to finish the test. If Firefox crashes during my test, I must email the teacher and have them reset the test so that I can finish it. The crashing is completely random; it happens at all times and on different web pages. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with clean file (no former Firefox data imported). I did import some Chrome bookmarks. This did not start happening until 2 versions ago. Now it happens all the time. I need it to be fixed and I need it fixed now. Thank you.

Note that you have avast! Online Security installed and this extension has been reported to cause issues.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
