Limit size of email - How to...
The kind Matt who answered my last question said many people limit the size of incoming e-mails (I tried TOOLS - Run filters on message....but that did not open). I cannot see where I can do that as that would solve the problem of people sending me excessively large files.
Thank you.

If a POP accound, look at account settings and then disk settings. If IMAP account, look at account settings and then synchronization&storage>diskspace

Thanks so much David – thanks to you all sorted!
My other question (if you have time – please say if not) is that my email provider duplicated my email address (to increase storage?) but it means I have 2 e-mail addresses with IDENTICAL e-mails + using double the memory that I would need, I assume.
If I delete one, does that mean the e-mails disappear from both addresses?? It's all silly!
Does that make sense? Miki
I need more information. Are these two separate accounts in Thunderbird? You have one email address, yet your email provider creates a duplicate? Not knowing why they would do that, my suggestion would be to delete the account for the added account and request the email provider to stop doing that. On your question, deleting the added account would not affect the original account. But I've never heard of this practice, so I encourage you to ask them why they did it. Strange.
