While Firefox lets you set a default search engine, its quick search feature also lets you switch between different search engines on your list as you browse.

Disable search engines you don't need or reactivate them if you change your mind. Here's how to do it:

  1. At the bottom of the screen, tap the menu button (the menu will be at the top right if you're using an iPad):
    Firefox iOS menu bar

  2. Tap Settings in the menu panel.
  3. Under General tap Search.
  4. Toggle the switch next to each search engine to turn it off switchoffios or on switchonios.

Available search engines will appear at the bottom of the screen as you search:

AltSearchEnginesIOS29
Firefox will automatically use your default search engine unless you choose one of the search engines at the bottom.
