Magic bar doesn't work after upgrade of FF. can anyone help me pls?

After upgrade of FF to 3.6.11, magic bar stopped working. Whn I try to put f.e. letter "gm" it stays like that and it doesn't take gmail word from history or cookies. Can anyone help me?

I have never heard of the magic bar, but based upon your description this appears to be the location bar.

In the Tools menu select Options to open the options window. Select the Privacy panel and make sure the setting at the bottom of that dialog for the location bar "When using the location bar, suggest" is set to "History and Bookmarks".

Another possible cause for the location bar no longer working is a problem with the file that stores history and bookmarks. For details on fixing that see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite

It didn't work but thanks, I don't wanna fix that damaged file cause I am afraid of loosing my browsing history, bookmarks etc. Anyway this option works on FF 4.0 Beta so Im using this now.

Hello, after upgrading FF Beta to the newest one 4.0.6 or smth, it stopped working, so now Im clueless.
