Is there a way to disable rollover ads?
The rollover ads expand across the screen obscuring content when the cursor goes near them. Can they be disabled?

I use Adblock Plus to block ads. You need to subscribe to a filter list for it to block ads, I use EasyList. When you first install Adblock Plus it will ask you to subscribe to a filter list, and give you a list to choose from.
