I am on MacOS X with the latest firefox. I refreshed it and disabled AV and all plugins, it still crashed.

There are also no logs of the crashes I can find.

What should I do to enable them, or diagnose further?

What were you doing at the time? surfing, watching a clip, reading something . . . .

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

In troubleshooting mode, Firefox tabs still crash. They do not leave a report in about:crashes. When I reload the tabs, they often immediately crash again. This happens with all types of pages. When I posted the original report, it crashed mid-way through that.

Other web browsers do not crash when running on this computer. I refreshed Firefox and it didn't help. Installations on other computers which are synced to this one do not crash either.

So, it's crashing and it's not leaving reports, even in troubleshooting mode.

Any ideas of what I can do to dig deeper?

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers. They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only> Firefox itself: (Programs Folder) And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.
