Ever since updating to Firefox 44, I cannot connect to any web pages. My computer is a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with NVidia video card (GeForce 9300 GPU). It is definitely a DNS issues as I can connect to my router (http://192.168.1.1) and a network printer by IP address (http://192.168.1.200). I also have a Server 2003 Exchange server on the network and I can connect by IP address to Outlook Web Access if I use IP address (http://192.168.1.10/exchange). If I use the server name ("http://main-server/exchange) to connect to OWA, it fails...never connects just says "connecting...." in the Firefox tab.

There are 10 computers on this network and only one upgraded to Firefox v44.0 and only this computer is having this problem. All the other computers are identical but running Firefox v43.0.3. I did notice when Google searching that there seems to be a Bug reported with similar symptoms: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1243765

hey msholind, could you try to run this test build on the affected machine and report back if it can address this issue? https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/try-builds/ryanvm@gmail.com-ac98a6a7a02f71253a82c62cbd7c20279e9da5d8/try-win32/firefox-44.0.2.en-US.win32.installer.exe

Philipp,

I just loaded the version your link supplied and it worked without issue. I tested internal websites and external and the issue I experienced with v44.0.1.

Any idea when this will be released as a normal update?

Thanks, Murray

Thanks for following up. If everything goes to plan this could already be released as 44.0.2 tomorrow.
