My firefox (Version 40.0.3) crashes at completely random times. Somethimes it happens when I select a hit in a google search. Sometimes it happens when I open the Norton Security Toolbar. After firefox restarts, the action that caused the crash can be performed without any issue.

Here are several of the crash IDs bp-93aaa09b-f179-4895-ad3f-ac05f2151004 bp-68579c3d-2ee4-4441-906c-1fa5c2151004 bp-ddb39808-042d-4e68-a2ba-3f51c2151004 bp-236078d9-47bb-443d-b36e-336d52151004 bp-c94ab02a-e274-4d4b-b444-c4cdc2151003 bp-01d6bbfe-ed3b-4992-b4bb-c18652151002

Download the current full installers for your Norton programs and save them.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installers.

Hello FredMcD,

Thanks for your help but I still get crashes. I also tried re-installing firefox but that did not solve the issue either.

I used "Wise registry cleaner" and rebooted the machine after cleaning the machine and before reinstalling Norton Internet Security (with the latest updates).

Here are three more crash logs: bp-d9a91a5a-9e3f-4197-a695-bf5402151006 bp-779d6b50-42c1-471b-9ff7-69d992151005 bp-1da38cb1-09bc-47a7-8657-f31342151005

I don't want to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox since the Norton Toolbar is not yet compatible with it.

Firefox just crashed again. I don' think it is related to the Norton Toolbar because this time the browser just crashed while I was reading a page.
