Firefox crashes on startup

Cannot start Firefox (v.40.0.1). I have checked my hardware, and also used the suggested Malware removal tool from your user help pages. I have re-installed FF multiple times. I cannot start FF in Safe Mode with it crashing. This problem has been going on for several (3+ weeks).

hi usafJayhawk, looking at this report, it looks like it may be caused by external software on the computer. please go into your system's control panel and remove any software labelled "Freecorder" or similar or by the publisher "Applian Technologies" or any other toolbars.
