Firefox crashes when passwords are needed or saved
Crashes occur on all pages where I have to log in with a password. Also menu Extra, Options, button 'Saved passwords' crashes. This happens also after starting Firefox in Save mode. Hope you can help. Annet

I think this is the exact same problem I'm having (see "Version 28.0 crashing" thread) but it's only affecting my Mac, not my Windows laptop. I've done a bit more testing and it only appears to be affecting certain webpages and not others.
Thanks. Unfortunally this does not solve my problem.

More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
I had to reinstall 27.0.1. Apparently, there's a problem with 28.0.
Here are the ID's: bp-2d8490ca-5182-44dc-a4d1-9de4a2140319 19-3-2014 10:29 bp-39a39804-ac66-4983-bcff-c7f082140319 19-3-2014 10:28 40b95f10-d901-451d-b572-4321b4c8d1a1 7-3-2014 19:23 d83bd283-3be7-4f1c-a583-bee3ceccae20 7-3-2014 19:23 8e753e08-3416-4045-9cbc-62aae1598a04 7-3-2014 19:23
Only the 2 frist ID's from 19-3-2014 concern this problem.
In the meantime I started with a new Profile, a copy of my original (before reset), in which I deleted the 2 password files key3.db and signons.sqlite.
After this I could continue on webpages with former saved passwords. I can save passwords now. But when I reinstalled a master-password Firefox crashed again. After deleting again het password-files from the profile this was solved.
It seems that this version of Firefox cannot handle the master-password.
I will wait untill this is solved, after which I will restore my former saved passwords.
Thanks for your help. Annet

Thanks for your help, but I could not find the older version, and I had worries to downgrade, and finding me more in trouble. I applied a temporary solution, which will do untill this problem is solved.
Version 27.0.1 can be downloaded here:
(link to filehippo site removed; please only post links to the official Mozilla servers - c)
No need to uninstall 28.

Hi Annet
That is a problem with Trusteer software (RapportTanzanxx.DLL): [@ rapporttanzan28.dll@0x1ea2e ]
Make sure that you have the latest updates of your Trusteer software.
You can try to contact Trusteer for support.
Hi cor-el
I have reported the issue to Trusteer. The response I got was a bit confusing; they suggested I check I was running the latest version of Trusteer (I had and I was) and report back to them if the problem persisted whilst at the same time saying that Trusteer didn't work under FF 28.0 and that their engineers were looking into it! I will await an update from Trusteer before confirming that the problem in FF 28.0 has been resolved.
Thanks for your help.
Both cor-el and The Trosky, thanks for your help. This weekend I will study your replies more deeply. Annet

Indeed this was the solution. My Tusteer Rapport has automatically updated. I have restored my password files in my profile. Everything is working fine. I am so happy and gratefull to all of you. Without your help I would never have solved this. Annet
