I cannot stop the pop-ups

I have uninstalled Mozilla, reinstalled it, run malware detection programs, the whole bit, no matter what I do I cannot stop the pop-up ads. I don't have this problem with IE but Mozilla is what I prefer. If I can't stop them I am just going top uninstall one more time and leave it that way. NO technical support provided for this makes it even worse. Does anybody have any ideas??

Try Start Firefox in Safe Mode, sometimes the problem is a addon, in safe mode firefox disable some addons.

Or get a ad block addon:

If you can't track down the problem among your add-ons, can you describe the pop-ups in more detail? For example:

  • Do they consistently refer to a particular source or service?
  • Are they associated with opening a new window, new tab, or both?
  • Do they seem to launch at one or more particular times of the day, unrelated to what you're viewing or even if Firefox had been closed?
