Since I have been recently updating my browser and Flash, I was checking Sporcle Flash quizzes that I have been unable to play in Firefox in the last few months but haven't followed too much. Even with the latest update to Firefox 25.0 and Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.117, I just get a blank white box where the quiz would be located. I tried this quiz (http://www.sporcle.com/games/darinh/mlb-opening-day-lineups--high-scores-flash-) and when right-clicking where the quiz would be, I get the options "Movie not loaded..." and "About Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.117".

Every other game or window that uses Flash (YouTube, et al) seems to work fine on this browser, just not Sporcle Flash quizzes, and I'd prefer to access them here instead of opening a different browser like IE.

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

Thanks for the resources. Got my mind going and tried a few things...

In the end, I was cleaning out my download folder and found a FlashPlayer archive folder that had FlashPlayer 11.6.602.180. I uninstalled my current player, installed the older version, and updated back to 11.9.900.117 when prompted to update after visiting a YouTube video. After the current player was installed again, I went to back to the quiz that was linked in my opening prompt and it worked!

I also tried out a number of other Flash quizzes on Sporcle and most of them worked. The ones that didn't had the same blank white box that I described above. Any idea why some of these would work and some would not?

Other than that, I'm pleased that I got some progress and that the quiz I really like to play works in Firefox now!
