gmail locks up

i am using windows 7 and firefox, when i use gmail to view a message, quite often the back to inbox button will lock up my gmail. also when i try to reply to an email, quite often the dialog box will not let you type. i opened internet explorer and tried gmail there and it worked just fine.

Try to tab the Windows key(s) on the keyboard a few times to see if that helps.
