I cannot get some links to work. I am using 14.0.1 on a Mac. When I hover over a link the status bar says the following: javascript:openWindow(this,'basic1');

In Safari, the link works and says: Run script"openWindow(this,%20'basic1');"

What can I do?

Sounds that the script to open a pop-up window isn't working in Firefox in your case.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I did as you suggested; however, the problem remains as described. It was temporarily resolved when I disabled AdBlock, however, with AdBlock disabled and no other modifications or add-ons, the problem has returned.
