Hello,

I'm using firefox and scrapbook to collect internet pages in all sort and shapes for (future) ancestors research. Those pages are on my own pc and i have to correct the object or embed tag to the video tag (in order to work / see them on a local pc or nas).

If I want the change the name of the directory to a more suiteble one (archiving) there is a error from windows because there is a lock on the file / directory. After closing firefox, it some times needs an (ctrl-alt-del) taskmanager proces kill the directory and file can be renamed.

The lock for an page without the video tag on the first tab is happening from firefox 3.x but the work around solution is opening the pages in the second tab.

This doesn't work for pages with the html 5 video tag.

Does it help if you kill the plugin-container process?

Hello Cor-el,

I've tryed just yet and is doesn't work (killed them thru ctrl-alt-del, the three finger salute ;-)) ) and i've even tryed it with firefox without add-ons and got the same result.

Try to make to two simple index.html files in a two directory, one with just a hello on the screen and another one with a simple video tag (you almost certain have a file in mp4 and ogv format) and open the first one from your explorer and try to change the name of the directory you wil see there's a error message. If you open firefox first and the open the first one from explorer and then try to change the directory's name and you will see it can be done.

Then open the second index with de video tag in it and try to change the directory's name, it won't work. close the tab and try to change the directory's name and it won't work either. You have to close firefox in order to change the name of that directory.

I uploaded an image that shows the text i use for the video tag, it's not compleet yet because i'm looking for a line or additional text that will work with IE 8.x butt haven't found it yet. (many thanks to http://camendesign.com/code/video_for_everybody )

Thanx. Gr.
