Backup of my Bookmarks
LO! I need to upgrade my: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 Firefox/3.5.4 - doing this previously I could not restore my Bookmarks, they just disappeared. I read your advise how to activate them, but it did not work...so In order to avoid it again, when upgrading my current version, I want to learn - is there a way to save them and then import? I.e. creating a backup, in case I experience a problem. Thanks!!

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can check the Time Machine for an older copy of places.sqlite or a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups to restore the bookmarks.
You should update to the latest Firefox 3.6.x version or Firefox 9.0.1 to get the latest security patches.
