Hi, I'm trying to use firefox 4.0 (rc1?). I have noticed a problem in the address bar: - web address are not displayed - I cannot even edit them (I can only reach pages by links or by bookmarks); what I edit is only passed to google (then I can click on the link)

Try:

Create a new profile exclusively for the Firefox 4 version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.
