I am running Firefox 3.6.8, but this has been occurring for a couple of weeks now (back to 3.6.6 at least). I can use Firefox fine for searching Google, surfing pages, and using yahoo mail. Whenever I interact with specific websites (blogspot and gmail) for more than about 20 seconds, Firefox hangs and I have to kill it. It's usually not able to reload the session afterward.

Most recent example from just now: launched Firefox, accessed my blog (on blogspot), typed a comment. logged in as prompted, posted the comment, went to create a new post - and hung. I had to kill the session, and did submit a crash.

This time when I relaunched firefox it was able to restore my tabs; that happens only half the time.

I was the original poster. I fixed the problem: I remembered that I had installed cutePDF (which worked like a charm) right around the time the difficulty started. I uninstalled it today, and my gmail & blogger functionality is returned. Weird, right? But that was the fix.
