If you downloaded the installer from the official website (or Mozilla's FTP servers) and are sure that it is not corrupt, I believe you should ask Apple for support.

you are right, It some time happen. once i have also faced some problem then i have re install firefox 3.6.3 and get success.

So you dont worry. 

I think you should re install firefox 3.6.3. You will not get problem in next time.
