Your browser is being managed by your organization
I can delete Mozilla HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\ and its gone as long as I don't reboot my computer, other wise its back again. I really don't understand the part stating who is managing by whom is this organization? I've been a long time user of Firefox so I would like to have this issue resolved as this my second attempt. I downloaded this file suggested by a member called policy_templates_v4.12.zip but at 73 years old and reading this nonsense imho is just not right. If I can't get this resolved soon I shall change browsers and it won't be Chrome that is for sure. I started with computers back 1989 long before the internet came along so due to bad health issues my memory is at best not great. Thanks for reading this and hopefully I can get an answer that will satisfy me as I love Firefox and really don't want to give up on it.

Most likely your security software must have been adding it. What policies are in the registry and what kind of antivirus do you have?
Here are your answers TyDraniu, 1. the only policy I have in regedit is this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies Mozilla I have to delete every time I reboot my machine, since it is back in the registry every time. 2. Im using for my anti virus Avast Premier Security. I hope this helps you and thanks for your kind reply.
Try to uncheck “Enable HTTPS Scanning” in Avast, reboot the machine and in Firefox enter about:policies in the address bar and check your active policies.
I tried everything you asked for but no luck. I tried unchecking in Avast "Try to uncheck “Enable HTTPS Scanning” but that failed. Now this is where I'm confused when you stated "TyDraniu check your active policies"? What ones or one am I looking for TyDraniu? When I do about:config the policy of Your browser is being managed by your organization I've turned it too false. It hasn't helped so I'm sorry for all the time you are giving me so if I'm not understanding which Active Policies you are referring too? Thanks again for your time on this issue so if you have an answer to my question referring to above I'd love to hear more. Thanks mate :(
Seeing the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification at the top of the Settings page can be caused by (security) software that uses GPO policy rules or uses a policies.json file in the distribution folder in the profile folder to inject their root certificate in Firefox in Firefox to be able to hook into your internet connection (ImportEnterpriseRoots) to prevent getting a connection not trusted error message.
You can click the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" notification or open the about:policies page to see if policies are active and if errors are reported.
You can inspect the Mozilla and Firefox keys with the Windows Registry Editor in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and in HKEY_CURRENT_USER with the Windows Registry Editor to see whether GPO policy rules are active.

The mere presence of the "Mozilla\Firefox\" key is sufficient to make Firefox display this notification, so if you have the Firefox key then remove it and only leave the Mozilla key or remove this key as well if it is empty.

cor-el thank you for your time in helping me and regarding what is in regedit there is nothing in either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\ nor HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\ Again as stated I only use Firefox so in the key Local Machine Software Policies there is only Microsoft key and Mozilla\Firefox which I delete every time I reboot or my machine is turned off for the night. Hence once started up I delete the key mentioned but no other keys are found in current user software policies over than Microsoft folder and below it is a power folder. You also stated the following: "open the about:policies page to see if policies are active and if errors are reported" I'm attaching a jpg to this but not sure if this is what you mean? I really really appreciate your taking the time in helping me but maybe I'm just not understanding something that seems so complex too me. I'm getting to the point where so many dedicated people have tried to resolve this stupid problem IMHO so on that note I'll attach something that may not even be what your looking for. Thanks again.
