Hello, I might be asking the wrong people this question but I have to start somewhere. When ever I press ENTER while writing a letter in the ThunderBird E-Mail program I get a complete line skip. This makes the letter look very funny. Thank you for your attention to this matter for me.

The default is as it is, because enter is really only used for marking paragraphs. Paragraphs are supposed to have a line space between them to make reading easier.

However open the settings on the menu and search for para. When the results are returned change the setting for "use paragraph format instead of body text by default".
